What Happens When The Uninsured
What Happens When the Uninsured Go to the Emergency Room?
The U.S. Census Bureau reports that an increasing number of people are now unable to afford medical insurance. Some 47 million people do not have medical insurance. When they begin to fall sick, there is nothing that can be done if money is short. When it comes to a choice between food on the table and treatment, most people decide to eat. They hope they will get better. When health does not improve, there is no improvement in the choice to be made. If treatment remains unaffordable, they have to wait until their sickness worsens to the point it can be considered an emergency. At this point, people decide to go to the emergency room at their local hospital. Federal law is very clear. Hospitals are under a positive legal obligation to treat everyone who walks in through the door. It does not matter whether the emergency is real, in the sense of a traffic accident inflicting unexpected injury, or to some extent manufactured, where the condition only becomes an emergency because of a deliberate delay. People must be given treatment. The difficulty is that most of the uninsured cannot afford to pay their bills. The hospitals can and do issue invoices for the treatment given and drugs supplied. This is also a part of the law. People have a responsibility to pay for their treatment. But hospitals are realistic about their chances of collecting. Continued pursuit for payment usually results in bankruptcy and the creditors only get a few cents in the dollar. So, hospitals make a rational decision. They spread all the unpaid bills among all those who can pay. In other words, whether you are paying out of your own pocket or you are relying on your own health insurance to pay for your treatment, a percentage of every hospital?s bill is a provision against bad debts from the uninsured. The irony is that everyone who is insured is also insuring all the uninsured for their emergency room visits. If you have been wondering why your own health insurance premiums have been going up so sharply of late, it?s because there is a wave of uninsured people going to the emergency rooms around the country. The health insurers are having to pay more and this additional cost gets passed on in the premiums. Is it going to get any better? No. It?s actually going to get worse. Ever more people are finding health insurance unaffordable. Even with sites like this which allow people to find the cheapest insurance around, many still find the premiums too much. That does not mean you should give up. Using this site will get you offers. Then it?s up to you to negotiate directly with the insurer or its agents to get the best actual premium for the cover. It?s not worth the risk of being uninsured. If at all possible, get some cover.

IL Wedding Officiant opens

Chicago Wedding Officiant opens private home to gay & straight couples as a courthouse alternative. Cook County, IL
:::---:::---:::---:::
Unique and exclusive, Pine Manor is the private home of IL Wedding Officiant, Rev. Pamela, who is now performing wedding and civil union ceremonies in her home in the NW Suburbs of Chicago. The historic home was built out of the Sear’s and Roebuck catalog in the late 20’s and still features the original arched doorways, hardwood floors and handsome brick fireplace.
Couples come to Rev. Pamela to perform the ceremony they otherwise would have gone to the courthouse for. Standing next to the historic fireplace or in the back yard garden, couples take their vows in a romantic stress free setting. Couples find comfort in the relaxing atmosphere and are able to truly be present to give their hearts. All couples receive a beautiful hand calligraphy document from IL Wedding Officiant, very important to same sex couples performing commitment ceremonies or handfastings, when a county license is not obtained. The commitment certificate doubles as the documentation to satisfy proof for insurance and other legalities after the ceremony.
The Handfasting Ceremony is an old Celtic tradition Pamela incorporates into some of her services, where the couple’s hands are bound together by a sacred cord made especially for their union. The tradition is much forgotten today, but the expression “Tie-The-Knot”, is still widely used in wedding vernacular. Rev. Pamela councils with the couple, incorporating their prayers and wishes into the cord braiding as a symbol of being bound together for life. Something today’s wedding ceremonies don’t seem to emphasize based on today’s divorce rate.
Reverend Pamela can be contacted at her home office 8amm – 8pm at: (847) 873-Pine (7463) or eMail Info@ILWeddingOfficiant.com

How To Cook Melt In
How to cook melt in the mouth Roast Beef
Melt in the mouth Beef Roast
First off youre going to need a roasting joint. I use Silverside because to me it contains just enough fat to keep my joint tasty and tender.
Aside from your beef you will also need:
2 teaspoons of paprika
1 tin of chopped tomatoes
1 medium sized onion - roughly chopped
2 cloves of garlic - crushed
1 pint of beef stock
half a glass of red wine
4 large carrots - roughly chopped
2 teaspoons of worstershire sauce
salt and pepper
drizzle of oil
First things first. You'll need a large deep sided frying pan and a deep sided baking dish. Preheat your oven now to 150 degrees c. This dish will be cooking for most of the day so best to get it on early as it will require a minimum of 4 hours.
Place a little oil into your frying pan and heat up , whilst youre doing this give your beef a wash in cold water then pat it dry. Once your oil is heated carefully place your beef into the pan. Your objective here is to allow the beef to sit on each of its sides in the pan for 3 or 4 mins, turning it until each side is nicely browned off.
Once your beef is nicely seasoned , remove it from the pan and place it into your baking tray. Keep the frying pan to one side because we will be wanting all that delicious beef fat in a moment.
You now need to skim the top of the beef fat from the frying pan as much as you can but dont be too fussy about this , what you want to be left with is just the beef juices and flavouring , there might be very little of it but every little bit counts and using this will transform the flavour of your dish.
One youve skimmed off the fat return the frying pan to the heat and place on medium. To your flying pan add your garlic , onions, paprika and worstershire sauce. Cook for 5 mins.
Add your tomatoes , carrots, stock and wine. Stir and season well. You will need to cook this on the hob for 10-15 mins bringing it to the boil then a slow simmer.
Next take your pan of ingredients and pour it over your beef into the baking tray. Your gravy should come half way up your beef, if it dosnt you can simply add extra stock. Cover your entier baking tray with tin foil making a tight lid seal with it so no air can get in and place your baking tray into the oven - cook for 4 to 5 hours, checking your beef after 4.
Remove and place your beef onto a plate , cover and let it rest, allowing your beef to rest will make it moist and tender. Pour your gravy back into your frying pan and reduce down , adding flour if needed to thicken.
Slice your beef and spoon over your gravy and serve!
Perfect served with roast potatoes and spring greens and yorkshire puds!
This recipe will feed 5 adults. Increase or decrease quantities as required.

Ny Used Cars Pricing May
Event on 2012-02-03 00:00:00
Long Island City Auto Group is announcing what’s being said by automotive industry analysts, which includes the maximum worth of NY used cars beginning to fall in just a few months. Now is the time to sell or trade in.
LONG ISLAND CITY, N.Y. – NY used cars have been selling at much higher prices this summer, as much as a 20 to 25 percent increase on average; however, this pattern cannot last says new vehicle and NY used cars dealer group Long Island City Auto Group.
Long Island City Auto Group is advising customers who’ve been on the fence about trading in or selling their NY used cars that they shouldn’t hold out much longer or else they’ll lose their opportunity for earning the greatest value.
“Since production in Japan is increasing and gas prices have lowered, the demand for fuel-efficient used cars has been ebbing,” said Paul Passarelli, General Manager of Garden City Mazda, a Long Island City Auto Group dealership. “We still do have a large pool of customers who need used vehicles, but the high payouts our customers have been seeing for selling their vehicles or trading them in with our dealerships can’t last forever.”
Though Long Island City Auto Group recognizes the demand for NY used cars may be coming to an end by the close of the year, the automotive group and its dealerships always give fair appraisals for used vehicles, an amount which is often higher than that of their competitors.
Additionally, Long Island City Auto Group is still buying NY used cars to keep its inventory fully stocked. Traffic at the auto group’s dealerships continues to be very high at both the new and used showrooms, and vehicle pricing at the dealerships is still very aggressive. NY used cars buyers may find pricing starting as low as:
• a month for a 2006 Chevrolet Cobalt
• a month for a fuel-efficient 2005 Hyundai Elantra
• 8 a month for a 2009 Hyundai Elantra with low mileage
• 4 a month for a 2010 Toyota Prius hybrid vehicle
Customers of Long Island City Auto Group dealerships may take advantage of their online car buying program called Three Easy Steps. The program is easy to use and makes the purchase process convenient as buyers can shop at any hour of the day. Simply choose a vehicle and payment, apply for financing and schedule a pickup date for the vehicle. LIC Auto Group sales representatives are available every step of the way to ensure the process is hassle-free and seamless.

A Brief History Of
A Brief History Of Accounting
>History of Mathematics : Famous Women Mathematicians
>Accounting Equation
>Accounting From the Pages of the History
Accounting has existed since the first instance one of our ancestors wrote about the time he exchanged a few shiny shells he found in a river for a hand of bananas. As delicious as this ancient bargain was for our Neanderthal forefather, the art of recording and keeping track of transactions have grown infinitely more sophisticated since then.
More than seven thousand years ago, early civilizations started keeping track of changes in their herds and crops using primitive clay tokens and clay tablet records. This innovation with bookkeeping represented an enormous intellectual achievement for humankind. The Romans later codified and expanded the existing bookkeeping techniques and collected them. They kept giant archives of papyrus to record every transaction like fines and tax payments in their Empire.
Islamic mathematicians later pioneered new algebraic concepts that furthered the development of more accurate accounting. Their influence continued up to and beyond the Italian Renaissance. The invention of double entry was another revolution in accounting methodology. It was a system where no money was ever lost or gained in a transaction but only transferred from one place to another. Luca Paciolis treatise on bookkeeping in 1494 laid the groundwork for double entry concepts we still use today.
In more recent times, modern technology has changed how accountants function. Larger companies with greater amounts of data to process have turned to computers to help them cope with the deluge of information. There are many readily available accounting software suites in the market for this purpose. One of the best is Sages Peachtree Quantum.

The Calculation Of Percentage Or
The Calculation of Percentage or how to find Percent
Percentage means "per hundred"signifyingthat the percent amount is given for each 100 units. Thus 10% of 100 would be 10 or 10 parts out of the 100.Whenevertheterms, "for each" or "of", are used in a math problem it means multiplication is called for, so when trying to find 25% of 64, it means multiplication will be used. First change the percentage into a decimal, meaning a number with a decimal point and without a percent symbol. To do that, firstunderstand any number written without a decimal is accepted as having a decimal to the right of the digit on the farright. Thus the number 8 is also 8.0, and 25 is 25.0 with the zero to the right of the decimal point not having any value and so not changing the number's value.
To change a percent to a decimal move the decimal point two places over to the left. This means that 25% becomes .25 as a decimal, because as stated when 25 iswritten without a decimal, one is understood to be on the right of the5 and moving it two places to the left puts it to the left of the2 . Sometimes percents are written with decimals, such as 3.35%which also iswithout two digitsto the left side of the decimal. In this case it is understood that there are zero's to the left of the given digits and by simply placing enough 0'son the left sidethe decimal can be moved over two places. So 3.35% becomes .0335 as a decimaland .09% would be .0009 when the decimal point is moved over two places to the left.
Afterchangingthe percent to a decimal simply do the multiplication and placea decimal in the correct place inthe answer. For 25% of 64, mulitply .25 times 64 to get 1600 and then because the number .25has two digits to the right of a decimal, the understood decimal at the right side of 1600, must be moved two places to the left to get 16.00 asan answer. So 25% of 64 equals 16.
Thetotal number ofdigits that are to the right of decimals in the numbers to bemultiplied together determinesthe total number of places the decimal is moved to the left in the answer. Thus 3.35% of 15.7 becomes, .0335 times 15.7 ( only the percent has to have the decimal moved). When multiplied together they give, 52595, but then the decimal has to be movedover five places to the left to get, .52595as the correct answer. The decimal is moved five places because .0335 has four digits right of the decimal and 15.7 has one digit right of the decimal, so totally they have five digits to theright ofdecimals.
Another way to think about percentages is in terms of fractions. A percent refers to parts out of 100 so it is equal to a fraction where the percent amount is the numerator and 100 is the denomenator. So 14% is equal to 14/100 and 6.25% equals 6.25/100. Notice the decimal is not moved when writing 6.25% as a fraction. Knowing this will helpto understand why25% equals 1/4 , 50% equals 1/2 , 33% equals appox. 1/3, and 75% equals 3/4. These fractional parts are fairly easy to figureand remember in one'shead. By knowing what percentages these simple fractionsare equal to it is easier to find percentages involving them. For example, one half of 360 is 180, so 50% of 360 is 180, one third of 30 is 10 so 33% of 30 is approx. 10, and one fourth of 12 is 3 so 25% of 12 is 3. Instead of changing the percent to a decimal, it can be changed to a fraction and then multiplied be to find the percentage of a number. As an example to find 14% of 50, change 14% to 14/100 which reduces to 7/50. Multiply 50 time 7/50 to get 350/50.To change 350/50 to a whole number,350 is divided by 50 to getthe number 7, so 14% of 50 equals 7.
In short, to find a percentage, change the percent to a decimal, multiply the amounts together, and put the decimal in the correct place inthe answer or change the percentage to a fraction and multiply by it.Use percentage math tofigure out interest on credit cards, yield on savings accounts, sale amounts on percent off sales, and fees that are given as a percent of the total. Just remember that with yields on savings, and cds, and charges on loans and morgages, time is a factor also. How often the interest is compounded has to be figured in when adding up the percentages. Often when computing percentages of money amounts answers must be rounded to the nearest cent. Take 39% of 7.35, 39% is equal to .39, which when multiplied by 417.35 gives an answer of 162.7665 and since dollar amounts are givento the nearest cent the answer is rounded to 2.77.
When figuring percent discount and percent off sales a good calculator will come in handy only if the math is understood. For example if a saleitem has 15% off the regular price of .95, to find the sales pricethe percentage amount must be found and then that amount is taken offof the regular price. 15% is equal to .15 which multiplied by 3.95 gives .5925. Rounded to the nearest cent .5925 is equal to .59 cents. This is the amount of the discount so subtracting it from the regular price of .95 gives .36 for the sales price.

Young The Giant - My Body live at Austin City Limits Music Festival, September 17th, 2011 Young the Giant - "Cough Syrup" (Official Video)
We could tell you about Young The Giant's explosive live show, but there's really no point.
We could tell you what it's like to be in the sticky, sweaty crowd, jumping up and down in perfect unison, but that's neither here nor there.
There's just too much to be shared, like how lead singer Sameer Gadhia's pristine, powerful vocals translate as well live as they do on the band's self-titled debut album, recorded and tracked completely live with the entire band sitting in a room and playing together, like they always do.
But, don't take it from us.
Take it from Morrissey, who himself said he'd be kneeling with gratitude on a hardwood floor for many years to come over Young The Giant’s "perfect" record, which the band co-produced with
Joe Chicarelli (The White Stripes, My Morning Jacket, The Shins). Or from Incubus, who handselected the band to rile up the crowd as the opening act on their first US tour in three years. Better yet, take it from their main stage set at Lollapalooza or upcoming performance at the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards as the only non-nominated band on the bill— all exciting twists of events that only occurred once bookers, agents and directors saw the group play live, and unquestionably knew they needed to see them again.
Hailing from separate states, countries and continents before meeting 55 minutes south of Los Angeles in Irvine, California as teenagers, their addictive, hooky songs and varietal nationalities
oft leave them pegged as "radio friendly" "multi-cultural,” or a small handful of other misdirected monikers that place the five piece's widely adored sound in a too-tight container.
Even though they collectively left school and multiple academic scholarships behind to pursue their dreams, including Sameer, who was enrolled as Biology/Pre-med at Stanford University,
this isn't a story about five boys who meld together as a French Canadian-Persian-British-Indian-Italian musical melting pot. Nor is it of a group whose alternative rock chart-topping, anthemic explosion of a song "My Body" hits you like a kick in the back of the knee.
It's about a band that has meticulously written and crafted songs together for three years, lived out of shared bedrooms and messy suitcases for two years, and hopped on and off of planes, buses, vans, cars and their beloved bicycles for over one full year, having played more than 150 shows in the past 365 days.
And, whether they're playing to a sold-out House of Blues in their hometown or to 15,000 festival attendees in the middle of Indonesia on one of their multiple worldwide tours, they never
fail to consistently and constantly resonate.
Last May, after Young The Giant performed just two songs on Later…With Jools Holland, their entire UK tour immediately sold out.
They had been in the country for less than six hours.
It’s that dedication, soulful essence and collaborative sensibility coming out on stage when they play their collection of songs that has proven to be, quite simply, impossible to ignore.
From the slightly unnerving tranquility of "Islands" to the captivatingly up-tempo take on the theme of transition in "Apartment,” their music ebbs and flows from innovative refrains to heavyhitting melodic smashes and back again, making their debut effort not only engaging, but entrancing. To date, the band has received innumerable "Band To Watch" accolades from
outlets like The New York Times, Spin and Nylon to name a few, and were selected by MTV as both a Push and Freshman 5 artist. And, with "My Body,” the first single off the album which hit #4 on the Modern Rock charts in the U.S. and #1 on the Rock charts in Canada while reaching over 1.3 million YouTube views and "Cough Syrup" just beginning its radio ascent, there's something undeniably special about this band.
So much so, you may just have to see it to believe it.
