Great Lakes Shipyard located in Cleveland, Ohio is currently seeking Fitters/Welders. We operate a full-service shipyard with a 770-ton Travelift and a drydock specializing in all types marine construction and repairs for vessels, tugs, supply boats, ferries, barges excursion vessels, dinner boats, research vessels, large yachts and off-site topside work of every kind. Applicants must have the expertise to perform the essential position duties with or without reasonable accommodation and without posing a direct threat to safety or health of employee or others: •High-school degree or equivalent.
•Must currently hold AWS certification.
•The capability to take on tasks with minimal supervision.
•Must be knowledgeable in flux core welding.
•Must have prior outfitting/fabricating experience.
•Must be able to read and understand blue prints.
